Vibe coded app UX problems that show up before launch

The most common UX, interface QA, mobile, and launch-readiness problems in vibe coded apps and AI-generated MVPs.
Vibe coding is powerful because it lets teams build momentum before every detail is planned. The same speed can also create product experiences that feel almost ready but not quite usable.
Most pre-launch problems in vibe coded apps are not dramatic. They are small gaps between screens, states, labels, and flows. Users notice those gaps quickly.
The app has screens but not a complete flow
AI tools are good at producing screens. A product needs a journey.
A common vibe coded app problem is that each screen looks reasonable on its own, but the flow between them is unclear:
- The user signs up and lands on an empty dashboard with no next step.
- A form submits but the success state is vague.
- A record is created, but the user cannot find it again.
- A settings screen exists, but it is not connected to the main task.
- A user can start a process but not recover from errors.
UX review should follow the task, not the sitemap.
The dashboard looks full but does not prioritize
Generated dashboards often contain cards, tables, filters, charts, and stats. That can look productive while still failing the user.
Watch for:
- Too many equal-weight cards
- Metrics without interpretation
- Tables with no empty, loading, or error states
- Filters that are visually present but unclear
- Primary actions hidden near secondary controls
- No distinction between setup tasks and daily tasks
Dashboard UX is about decision support, not decorative data density.
Mobile exposes the rough edges
Desktop previews can hide structural problems. Mobile reveals them.
Common responsive QA issues include:
- Horizontal overflow
- Tiny touch targets
- Long labels wrapping inside buttons
- Modals taller than the viewport
- Sticky bars covering form controls
- Navigation that hides the main action
- Tables with no mobile alternative
If mobile users matter at launch, responsive QA cannot wait.
Generated UI states are missing
AI-generated apps often focus on the happy path. Real users hit states that are less polished:
- Empty state
- Loading state
- Error state
- Permission denied state
- No search results state
- Payment failed state
- Expired session state
If these states are not designed, the product feels fragile even when the core feature works.
The interface overpromises trust
A vibe coded MVP can look modern and still lack trust. Users need signs that the product understands their risk.
Check whether the app explains:
- What data is saved
- What happens after submission
- Whether a payment is final
- How to edit or undo
- How to contact support
- Why permissions are requested
Trust is a UX requirement, especially before launch.
